Jill's Race for Life
Oldham 5k 2019
Sun 23 Jun 2019 - Sun 23 Jun 2019
In memory of
Nancy Woods
11th Apr 1926 - 8th Jan 2018
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. We probably all know at least one person who has been affected by cancer. I'm doing this in memory of my unforgettably marvellous mother-in-law, Nancy, who survived breast cancer in the 90s but died of Burkett Lymphoma in January 2018. Very nasty. And also in celebration of my friends: Becky, Joyce and Jacqui who have come through breast cancer thanks to improved diagnosis, treatments and their own tenacity of spirit. I've never been a runner, but did the couch to 5K at the start of the year and decided to do this to spur me on. (Also, it's a great excuse for indulging my love of pink) Your sponsorship would be very much appreciated. Thanks
