My Story
Many of you will know that my husband was diagnosed with head & neck cancer in 2020. Not only horrendous for James , but really devastating for our young children at the time, out of school due to Covid. Head & neck cancer is brutal, although a very positive prognosis. The treatment , confined by a fitted mask to prevent any head movement during radiotherapy, a feeding tube through the stomach due to inability to swallow, throat too painful to communicate . Well January this year he is no longer in remission but cancer free. Cancer impacts every one. I am passionate that the amazing research needs to continue to find improved, personalised treatment for a more individualistic care rather than one size fits all!
