My Story
I'm taking part in Race for Life to help raise money for cancer research and to hopefully help save lives. I will be doing this in memory of my beautiful and brave mum who had cancer twice. She beat breast cancer back in 2001. She was then diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia last year and was given 3 months at most. Being the fighter that she was, she managed to fight this horrible disease for almost 6 months. Cancer affects so many people and takes so many lives, hopefully one day soon there will be a cure. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
