About this event: My 100k March Madness mission with team Awesome Foursome: NicNic, Chloe, Kaye and me! For the month: Our challenge was for each of us to run 100km by the end of March 2021. My motivation: April 2021 marks a year since Dad lost his battle with throat cancer. We were lucky, we had 5 years with Dad after his diagnosis thanks to great care and treatment options. Whilst caring for him, Mum also fought a silent struggle with her own breast cancer diagnosis, not telling any of us until her tumour removal was booked and she knew the longer prognosis. Early detection meant she was treated quickly, monitored regularly and now has the all clear. Without Cancer Research UK our story would be very different. I'm so grateful for every precious day they've given us together. CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further. Help Cancer Research UK improve results even faster.
