My Story
In October 2018, one of my closest friends, Lucy was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. At a time in her life when everything should have been about caring for her little girls, Isobel and Eliza, and planning her wedding, Lucy was now faced with a horrific year of treatment. Lucy has now endured 9 months of brutal treatment, chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy. She’s now finished her treatment but the constant anxiety and upset this disease brings will be with her forever. We are doing the race for life in Newcastle on Sunday 14th July to raise money and celebrate how awesome she is for getting through this past year. I can’t wait and I’m so proud to be running next to her at such a special, worthwhile event 💖💖💖
