My sister Sarah
1st Jul 1979 - 29th Aug 2020
My wonderful sister Sarah passed away on 29th August 2020. She was just 41 years old. Having been diagnosed with breast cancer aged 38, she underwent treatment and was given the all clear in time for the 2019 Race For Life in April, which we did together with our Mum. Just eight months later, we learnt Sarah’s cancer had returned and spread to her liver, and she would not recover. I race to honour her and to help get to a stage where this doesn’t happen to other families.

Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
