Jessica's Race for Life

On January 6, 2020 we lost our beautiful Margi. She was without a doubt one of the kindest most generous humans on this planet. She was first diagnosed with cancer in the Spring of 2019, she survived a huge operation to remove a very aggressive tumour in her mouth and went on to recover incredibly well. Sadly, unbeknown to any of us, the cancer returned and Margi was admitted to hospital on 23rd December with fluid on her lungs, the initial diagnosis being “infection”, but very quickly it was diagnosed as incurable. Margi could not eat, drink and barely speak during those last two weeks, her weight plummeted and she was left utterly ravaged by this wicked and cruel disease. We are all still in shock at what has happened but are determined not to let Margi’s pain and subsequent death be in vain. That is why on 6th June myself and the rest of our family are going to walk/run/hobble (dependant upon age and fitness levels!!) If you or anyone you know has been affected by cancer you will understand our devastation and anger that this cruel disease is still so prevalent so if you can spare a couple of pounds to help us raise some money to go towards the ongoing research needed to fight cancer please donate!
