It is sooo scary that 1 in 2 people are at risk of developing some form of cancer in their lives. My family and friends have been affected by this devastating disease numerous times. Thankfully, some have fought the disease and continue to live healthy lives thanks to their early diagnosis and treatments that have become available through research. But sadly, many family and friends have passed away. I have come to terms that I or someone close to me may get cancer at some point in our lives, but with the advanced research and treatments that are now becoming available, hopefully one day we will no longer fear the disease. Running is one of my least favourite things to do, so I have set myself the task to try and run the 10k in under an hour. I appreciate money is tight these days, but any small donation will be greatly appreciated. Thank you! xxx
