Pearl Lewis

My Story

I am raising money for two people I know who have been personally affected by cancer, these two people are my auntie pearly and Isla Caton. Sadly my aunt lost her battle with cancer in 2015 and since then I made a promise to myself that I will do something in honour of her, growing up I never got to see her much as she lived far away but the weekends in which our nan would take us up to see her are some of my greatest childhood memories. How every birthday and/or Christmas she would have knitted each of us a brand new cardigan, and how she taught me to make ‘ Auntie pearlys special scrambbled egg’ which I later discovered was just adding some butter and occasionally adding salt or pepper, but even to this day I will always call them auntie pearls eggs. She was always one of the strongest women I know and I always and still do look up to her. I love you forever and always❤️ I am also doing this run in support of Isla caton, she has been diagnosed with a rare child cancer called neuroblastoma, Isla has spent most of the last two years in and out of hospitals for chemotherapy. Isla is only 3 years old and is one of the bravest and happiest children I have ever met.
