My mum was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer recently and I want to help find a cure for cancer.
My mum was diagnosed with terminal Glioma grade 4 brain cancer in march, she is getting treatment but we are not sure how long she will be around for. We have had great support throughout this and I want to raise money to eventually find a cure for cancer. So other people can live longer lives. I also want to do my bit to help make people more aware of cancer and that it can affect anyone. It was a great shock to hear it had affected some one as healthy and fit as my mum. So I want to do my bit to help fight cancer and work out what sources some types, like brain cancer. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
