My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. This is a cause very close to my heart. When i signed up for this earlier this year, my big sister Helen was so proud, she actually cried when i told her we were all doing it. We've had such a hard time since then, Helen went to sleep on the 22nd August and we are all heartbroken. Nothing can make us feel any better but raising some funds for this vital cause means we can give something back in Helen's memory. Please dig deep and pledge whatever you can.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
