My Story

Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. I'm doing the Race for Life in memory of my Nana. She passed away in February after bowel cancer finally took it's toll. After being diagnosed about four years ago Nana refused to let the symptoms interfere with her every day life and she carried on as normal right up until a few months before Christmas when the cancer became more aggressive. I saw the awful toll it took upon her, and us as a family. If I can raise just a few pounds to help this amazing charity beat cancer so that one day no one has to stand by and watch someone they love fight this awful fight then it'll all be worthwhile. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
