In memory of
My Dad, Mike McQuilliam
I'm walking in memory of my dad who died from Bowel Cancer in July 2020. He was a man who worked tirelessly, even through ill-health, to support my family – he was generous, funny and made amazing roast potatoes. Despite Bowel Cancer being one of the most common types of Cancer, it took over a year for my dad to receive a diagnosis and treatment was ultimately unsuccessful. I feel his loss every day and my heart will bear a dad-shaped space throughout all the moments he can't be here for anymore. I can only hope that funding new research can make cancer as preventable and treatable as possible. Please donate what you can (I completely understand if you can't) – I haven't put a target as I'd be happy to raise any amount. CAUSE
Bowel cancer
Over the past 40 years there's been dramatic progress in tackling bowel cancer and half of people diagnosed will now survive for at least 10 years. But with bowel cancer still claiming around 43 lives each day, more research still needs to be done. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat the disease.
