Evotec are fundraising to raise money for Cancer Research UK
Cancer Research UK are this year's Charity of the Year, voted a clear winner by both Abingdon and Alderley Park – our ONE company alignment in action! For those of you not aware of Cancer Research UK, a brief description: 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetime. In the 1970s, less than a quarter of people with cancer survived. But over the last 40 years, survival has doubled – today half will survive. CRUK’s ambition is to accelerate progress and see three-quarters of people surviving the disease within the next 20 years by focusing efforts in four key areas – working to help prevent cancer, diagnose it earlier, develop new treatments and optimise current treatments by personalising them and making them even more effective. Events 2022 We have a number of events planned/in mind for the rest of this year, not least the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, and we are excited to share them with you. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
