Jennifer takes on Sweatember

This September, I’m taking on Sweatember, exercising every day of the month to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured by sponsoring me. My 30 minutes each day won't include dog walking as I feel that would be cheating for me personally. I did this last year and am still blown away by the generosity of all of the lovely people who donated, I thought it would be easy and it was very hard and I actually ended up in tears a couple of times ridiculous as that may sound. Thanks to the generosity of my family, friends and colleagues I raised £323 which still blows me away! I feel bad asking for donations again only 12 months later but a) seriously this challenge is really harder than it sounds b) it is for a good cause and c) no one has to give if they don't want to, any amount is important, I will honestly be chuffed if my total is £20 after last year :-) Most people reading this will know I lost my beloved Mum to cancer in May this year, I never truly appreciated just how awful cancer is until my Mum had it (I think we all have an idea of how dreadful it is but until you see someone you love suffering you don't know, trust me). From her diagnosis Mum lived for nearly 3 years, I wish it had been so much longer, but I know without the work cancer research do which is supported by fundraising activities such as this we wouldn't have had the time we did. Mum talked me through some of the moments I struggled last year, and I think she was proud that I did it (she was well aware of my inherent laziness!) and how much I raised. I appreciate any support anyone can give me. Thank you! X
