I'm walking 10,000 steps every day this March for Cancer Research UK.

In memory of

everyone who has been lost to this awful disease.

There are so many different forms of cancer and they're all brutal in their own way. Some are survivable, some aren't, but they're all life-changing. Several years ago a close friend of mine died after a long journey through all the trials and tribulations of her cancer. She was the same age as my mum and someone I really looked up to, so it really hit me hard. I know many others who have lost friends and family members to cancer, and the thought of discovering that I or anyone I care for has it is one of my worst fears. I'm not often one to take up a public cause but this is something I'm passionate about.

Walking 10,000 steps a day might not sound like a lot to some, but anyone who knows me will know that I'm a bit of a walkaphobe and generally pretty inactive. I like going to the gym, but going for a walk just isn't something I enjoy! Over the last few weeks I've been working out roughly how far I have to go to get the steps in, so I know I can do it, but it's going to be tough! There are going to be days when I really won't want to do this, so it would be amazing if you could help cheer me on and maybe even donate a bit of spare change!
