Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer. Help me Walk All Over Cancer and fund life-saving research by making a donation to my page. 18/3/2021 Update: really enjoying the challenge and am fortunate that the weather has been not too bad - I don't think I've had to force myself out of the house in the pouring rain yet, though I have encountered one or two showers on the way. This week so far has been great - lovely and sunny, although Brian did comment yesterday that the sunshine appeared to be more of an impediment than the rain as I was quite happily sitting in the back garden enjoying the sunshine when he forced me out and up Craiglockhart Hill (see photo from top). So far, I've done 216,737 steps which is 69% of the total and an average of 12,749 steps per day, so very happy with that. 1/4/2021 Update: Happy to say I've now completed my challenge and walked a total of almost 396,000 steps during March, an average of 12,774 steps each day. Some days I just managed just over 10,000 steps but other days I did a lot more. I've thoroughly enjoyed it and have discovered many new walking routes and places in Edinburgh. Delighted to say I've raised over £600 for Cancer Research but Brian and I will be adding our own donation so the final will be a little bit higher. Many thanks to all who sponsored me - it definitely gave me the motivation to get out some days. I was feeling pleased that the weather had been generally quite dry during March and I hadn't had to force myself out in the rain - well the exception was yesterday! Once again, thanks for all your generosity.
