To help support saving lives.

In memory of

My big brother Chris

My Story

Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. My big brother Chris was diagnosed with lymphoma in September 2014 – after months of gruelling chemotherapy he lost his bravely fought battle on the 26th August 2015 age 53. Our lives as a family will never be the same again and I miss and think about him every day. To witness seeing a loved one go through so much pain and suffering is beyond comprehension, the feeling of helplessness is overwhelming where all you can do is comfort them and tell them how much you love them. Lymphoma is a blood cancer that affects the lymphatic system which is part of our immune system. Non-Hodgkin lymphoma is the fifth most common cancer in the UK, I hope by completing this muddy challenge I will be able to play a small part in raising money for Cancer Research UK.
