My Story
Thank you for visiting my Cancer Research UK Cycle 300 page. This September, before the end of the month, I will complete 300 miles on my bike for Cancer Research UK. I will be pedalling harder than ever because I want to raise money for life-saving research and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Every penny makes a huge difference to vital cancer research so please show your support with a donation to my page. Hi You may not know but my lovely daughter, Danielle (Dan) was diagnosed with breast cancer in June this year. She has a long journey ahead of her but she is an amazing person and a fighter! Before her diagnosis Dan was a super fit mountain biker, she has had to put riding on hold for a couple of months but is determined to get back into the saddle during her treatment and keep her fitness levels up by taking on this challenge. We are going to support Dan by joining her wonderful supportive team of family and friends by cycling 300 miles in September. We have 4 bikes (2 fold ups and 2 road) which are never used! The furthest they have been in years is to the garage door. Time to open the garage doors and get cycling! We have zero fitness levels and we are both overweight but we are up for the challenge so if you see us please encourage us along the way! If you would like to donate to the page even better, it is such a good cause, cancer affects so many people (1 in every 2) so research is vital! We will keep you posted on our progress!
