I'm walking 10,000 steps every day this March for Cancer Research UK.

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
This March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer. Normally in March our committee would have an Art Exhibition in the town which would normally raise in excess of £10,000. Obviously this year this has been cancelled, along with all the other events that were planned. So, in order to contribute in some way In March, I thought that I would join up with the Walk All Over Cancer Campaign. I hope to achieve a minimum of 10,000 steps each day somehow!!

March 1st, St David’s Day -Today is the first day of walking 10,000 steps, the weather is beautiful and so far I’ve walked 15,000!! Today is obviously a really good day, especially as it’s only 3.00pm! It’s so motivating thinking of those loved ones who we have lost, and those who are going through treatment at the moment, thinking of you all every day.

Wonderful Mother’s Day walk this morning in Cardinham woods. Ticked off way more than my 10,000 steps for today and have now completed the first two weeks of walking. Thanks to all those who’ve kindly donated and all my walking buddies who’ve helped me along the way. Just another 170,000 steps to go!

24th March and what a fabulous day for walking! Spring is definitely in the air.
So, twenty four days walking done and I’ve averaged well over 14,000 a day which is somewhere around 7 miles a day. It’s been a pleasure so far with some lovely if chilly weather and some great people to walk with. Only a week to go!

Many thanks to all those who have already generously donated, I have set a new target of £1500, perhaps a little ambitious but you have to have a goal!

Help me Walk All Over Cancer and fund life-saving research by making a donation to my page.

Many thanks to everyone for their support, whether you have walked with me, encouraged me or donated to CRUK! Now that it’s over I’m missing the walking, March was a lovely month, pretty dry and although cold, we only got rained on a couple of times which was really lucky! I’ll definitely walk more in future, Cornwall is such a beautiful place to walk around; beaches, moors, woodland, National Trust, we’ve got it all! With your help, the walking challenge has raised money for CRUK at a time when all the normal fundraising events have had to be abandoned leaving the charities in a very difficult and unprecedented position. Thank you once again!😁x

Well today is the last day of our 10,000 step challenge! I’m heading out in a minute to finish my last walk, so if you would like to support my efforts for this great cause then this is your last opportunity!! So far I have walked well over 400,000 steps, averaging over 7 miles a day, so over 200 miles and I still have more to add today🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️. I’m a bit short of my £1500 target but am delighted to have raised far more than I ever expected🎉. I’ve walked with so many different people who have wanted to support me and it feels like I’ve walked over most of East Cornwall! Thanks to you all for your marvellous support. I’ll let you know my final total.
