Jaqui's Walk All Over Cancer Fundraising Page

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer. Normally in March our committee would have an Art Exhibition in the town which would normally raise in excess of £10,000. Obviously this year this has been cancelled, along with all the other events that were planned. So, in order to contribute in some way In March, I thought that I would join up with the Walk All Over Cancer Campaign. I hope to achieve a minimum of 10,000 steps each day somehow!! March 1st, St David’s Day -Today is the first day of walking 10,000 steps, the weather is beautiful and so far I’ve walked 15,000!! Today is obviously a really good day, especially as it’s only 3.00pm! It’s so motivating thinking of those loved ones who we have lost, and those who are going through treatment at the moment, thinking of you all every day. Wonderful Mother’s Day walk this morning in Cardinham woods. Ticked off way more than my 10,000 steps for today and have now completed the first two weeks of walking. Thanks to all those who’ve kindly donated and all my walking buddies who’ve helped me along the way. Just another 170,000 steps to go! 24th March and what a fabulous day for walking! Spring is definitely in the air. So, twenty four days walking done and I’ve averaged well over 14,000 a day which is somewhere around 7 miles a day. It’s been a pleasure so far with some lovely if chilly weather and some great people to walk with. Only a week to go! Many thanks to all those who have already generously donated, I have set a new target of £1500, perhaps a little ambitious but you have to have a goal!
