My Story
Thanks for visiting this fundraising page I’m here in memory of my mum ♥️. Very recently 2 fabulous walking footie buddies started their own treatment journey (EWF women 60s 🏴 & Boldmere St Michael’s ⚽️) I’m doing the Jog 31 Miles Challenge (aka “fast walking” - for those who play walking footie you know why 😂) to help raise money for the BowelBabe Fund. In addition I’m also cycling 310 miles in May as an added challenge to show my support to the special ladies and all others on their journey. Fuelled by the spirit of rebellious hope - of choosing to remain hopeful in the face of overwhelming odds - the Bowelbabe Fund for Cancer Research UK was set up to continue the incredible legacy of Dame Deborah James. We raise money to fund cutting edge research into early detection and personalised medicine, raise awareness of signs and symptoms and tackle the stigmas around cancer with unflinching honesty so we can give more people affected by cancer more time with the people they love.
