My Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. As some of you may know, I lost my Mam very suddenly in June 2019 to lung cancer. She died within 3 days of diagnosis. She was the glue of our family and life wont ever be the same without her. I wanted to do something to help raise money to fight this awful disease. I don't know why on earth I chose to exercise for at least 30 minutes every day in September! I hate exercise with a passion but if it helps someone gain a better quality of life then its worth it. I will post regular updates on here and on my Facebook page to show you how I am getting on. Any donation, no matter how small helps so please don't feel you have to donate loads, even if its 50p it will all be going to fight lung cancer. Thank you
CAUSE
Lung cancer
Each year more than 43,500 people are diagnosed with lung cancer in the UK. We urgently need to drive progress so that more people survive their disease. Cancer Research UK is at the forefront in lung cancer research and is funding various projects to tackle the disease head on. This includes the TRACERx study, Cancer Research UK’s largest investment into lung cancer to date. This study has already transformed our understanding of how lung cancer evolves and is continuing to shed light on how to prevent, detect and treat the disease.
