My Story

352003 steps for the month of March done, dusted, in the bag! Challenge to walk 10,000 steps per day on aggregate throughout March for UK Cancer Research is veritably nailed! 153.92 miles in total!! Am I feeling proud? Damn right I am! £655 raised so far including gift tax!! A friend of mine asked when I started "What if you trip and fall and can't manage to do the challenge?" Well....I came close a few times with a few killer sticks laying in wait, more than a few rocks that refused to roll attempted to thwart my efforts too and let's not even go there with the number of motorists that nearly took me out through not watching the road! But my sturdy walking boots kept me upright together with a cast iron will and determination to get this done! I've loved watching the three villages begin to flower and turn green as Spring cast her cloak over the lands - will I carry on? Yes, as time and work permits, it's been wonderful. With thanks to everyone who sponsored me and cheered from the sidelines along the way - raising a FREAKY FRIDAY glass of fizz to myself (How fitting that it should end on a Friday!)
