My Story
As many of you know I lost my wonderful Sister, Catherine in January at age 42, she still had her whole life ahead of her but she was taken too soon by this dreadful disease cancer. Catherine never gave up fighting right from day 1 and I am going to try and emulate that fighting spirit by doing a 10K. Now those of you who know me will be rolling around on the floor laughing your heads off at this fact, as I haven't got an athletic bone in my body! On the other hand it shows just how far I'm willing to step outside of my comfort zone to honour my Sister and raise money to beat cancer sooner. I know she will be up there probably wetting herself laughing at me, incidentally it's rained every day since I decided to do it ?? but if I can't make a fool of myself for her who can I do it for. The girls who put this mad idea into my head are some of Catherine's friends from Bristol, so we have chosen to run the event down in Bristol on July 1st, less people to recognise me down there! We are running as a team "Cath's Crawlers" and yes, no doubt I will be crawling over the finish line. Any donation, no matter how big or small will be gratefully appreciated. All of our sponsor money will be clubbed together and will be donated as a team in Cath's honour. Catherine never let me down with anything so I'm not going to let her down with this. Love and thanks to you all xx 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
