My Story
As a family we are entering the Race For Life at Telford in loving memory of my sister Pam and, on a personal note, for me to give something back for the treatment I am currently receiving for breast cancer. Pam was an incredible person- she fought her battle for 16 years, coping with seven separate chemotherapy regimes, each involving several sessions of treatment. When I was diagnosed in September I naively thought I would fight my battle alongside her but her health deteriorated rapidly and we were devastated when she passed away in November last year. She will always be my inspiration, giving me the strength to go and face my next round of chemo, knowing how necessary it is whilst also knowing how low it will make me feel. My family and friends are so supportive, and I will be eternally grateful for the help they continue to give to get me through the next few months of treatment- I really am very lucky. I would be extremely grateful for any donation you can make to this very worthwhile cause- a diagnosis is devastating and if I could contribute to help improve just one person’s diagnosis or treatment, it will have been worthwhile. I know lots of people have already donated to other members of our family group - thank you so much for that! Many thanks for reading my Just Giving page Lots of love Janet xx
