My Story
I am taking part in the race for life in memory of my husband Bill who passed away in December of kidney cancer. He bravely battled kidney cancer for two and a half years and I know any money raised will help to find new treatments and cures. Bill had immunotherapy treatment which prolonged his life, and as a fairly new treatment this would not have happened without the marvelous research that has taken place. This is why I have decided to take part in the Race for Life 5k this year to raise money for a worthy cause and help save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so any sponsors would be greatly welcomed.
