2019 Royal Parks Half Marathon
Sun 13 Oct 2019 - Sun 13 Oct 2019
I'm running the Royal Parks (my first half marathon!) this October for Cancer Research UK and all the amazing work that they do.
I'm running the Royal Parks (my first half marathon!) this October for Cancer Research UK and all the amazing work that they do. The fight against cancer is hugely personal to me as it is for so many families, as for the past six years my lovely Dad has been courageously battling bowel cancer. I've seen the positive impact that Cancer Research UK's work has had, in advancing existing treatment options open to my Dad through different combinations of chemotherapy and opening up exciting new possibilities in treatment like immunotherapy. Such advancements, along with the amazing care and expertise of the staff at the Royal Free and Wellington hospitals, have given us continuous reasons for optimism in my Dad's fight against this awful disease. Please donate what you can to help Cancer Research UK progress their groundbreaking work that gives families like mine confidence that one day we'll win the fight against cancer.
