My Story
In 2013 I took part in the Race for Life in Clumber Park four days after being diagnosed with kidney cancer and the day before Chris (my husband) was diagnosed with colon cancer. We benefitted from great care and new advances in cancer treatment and four years on are enjoying life without cancer. In 2014 I again took part in the Race for Life, this time at the Embankment Nottingham and managed to raise nearly £800. Since then both Chris and I have been raising money by making gifts of stained glass, necklaces, scarves and bags and by asking our friends and family to donate money to Cancer Research. We hope to continue to raise money so that others can benefit from new cancer treatments discovered through research. You can read more about my fund raising story by visiting https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Jane-Johnston5 Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
