My Story
When my godson Luke was just 2 years old, July of 2012, he was diagnosed with a Wims tumour on his left kidney. He was in no pain and had no symptoms, other than a lump to his left side. After many trips to the GP, Warrington Hospital and Alder Hay the doctors confirmed the Wilms tumour and a plan of action was arranged. Chemotherapy followed by the removal of his left kidney, followed by more chemotherapy. Now 5 years later, Luke is just like any other 7 year old boy, boisterous, funny, cheeky and very very loving. We all thank our lucky stars for all the doctors and nurses who help little boys and girls like Luke through illnesses like this every day. Please help me raise money for Cancer Research by sponsoring me so that other children can be lucky and receive life saving treatment just like Luke.
