Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives (I'm actually going to be running the 10k race, not 5k as it says above!). As you will probably know, I have been very privileged to work for Cancer Research UK at the Cambridge Institute as a scientist for the last 10 years now and still absolutely love it - I have first-hand experience of the great research we are doing there and can honestly say we are doing some really cool stuff!

As most of you know I am a keen runner and will normally run much longer distances, but I have chosen to do this race with a number of my work colleagues, to run around Cambridge dressed as pink fairies (see photo below!) and help raise money for CRUK. So please sponsor me now to support my charity - your donation no matter how small will make a difference to Cancer Research UK's groundbreaking work!
