I'm doing this for My Nan who died at the hands of cancer. No one else needs to die!
In memory of
Nanny & Great Grandad
Cancer is one of the biggest killers, especially in our community. 2 of my loved ones suffered at the hands of Cancer at the same time. My Uncle had Hodgkins Lymphoma which when cured isnt likely to come back. By the grace of God My Uncle survived and was given the all clear in 2013. He now continues to maintain a fruitful and healthy life. My Nan had non-hodgkins Lymphoma, which is likely to come back after its cured.. if its cured. However, ufortunately my Nan was not able to beat her battle against Cancer. I cant help but wonder if she would have survived given that we were facilitated with broader knowledge on predictor symptoms. Or if we had better awareness, technology to intervene with this disease at points where we are currently told it is uncureable. This is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money to save lives... who knows this could save one of our lives one day. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
