My Story
On the 8th of May 2017 my life changed forever. My grandad Roy Hill died from a long and hard battle with cancer. When he first got diagnosed he had the one but then when he had more test it come to light that he had more than one and they were extremely aggressive. He had surgery and treatment and at the start we thought it was working and that it was amazing but then things changed. Even though he had cancer ever moment was amazing and that we tried to take everyday as it hit us on the shoulder. My family were there for him in so many ways and his wife Linda Hill was there every step of the way showing more love and passion than ever before. There were very many times when it got really hard to the part when he wasn’t eating or the the part when he had falls however he always had a smile on his face for everyone. We have had so many amazing memories and I just wished we had so many more but his life was lost and we need some good to put back in this world as evil had taken so much from everyone. However there is so much more to his story and to everyone else’s story and we are the voices speaking and showing that we are fighting and that we should all try and show support not just for our family it’s but everyone as everyone is family. We should all stand together and just say, Cancer we are one and we are all and there is nothing going to stop us. I am doing this 5k not just in memory of my grandad Roy Hill but for everyone that has had or who is fighting or that was lost because of Cancer and we should not be scared because one day even if it’s not soon but we will win.
