My Story
This May, alongside my girlfriend Victoria, I will be taking part in Race for Life to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Cancer has affected the loved ones of both Victoria and myself and continues to do so even now. We are running to show support for these loved ones and every single person affected by cancer. Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years, thanks largely to the efforts of Cancer Research UK. Improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
