My Story
This is addictive. Not for the rush of riding, the challenge of sorting out a wreck so it makes the journey, or the beauty of riding though the length of the country. Not for the race, competition or glory. Simply that we've raised over £100,000 for this cause, challenging and curing cancer that has afflicted and killed so many. Now everyone's chances of survival are much better thanks to the work done by Cancer Research, and the real race is to find better ways of treatment. To this end I'm joining nearly thirty other idiots in riding from one end to the other of this country in one day on crap old bikes. It's a bloody tough challenge that tasks you mentally and physically. When you arrive you know you've worked damn hard to get the journey done, and that it will take some considerable time to recover. But that's worthwhile since the rewards in saving lives and increasing the quality of lives is priceless. I'd genuinely appreciate any help you can offer, and I'll keep things posted here of how the bike preparations are going. Massive thanks in advance, cheers, jamess This motorcycle challenge takes places on the longest day of the year, 21 June 2019. Motorcycles must cost no more than £300 (not including the cost of insurance, MOT, tyres or brakes) and must have valid MOT certificate. Accommodation and on the road support will be provided. Places are limited.
