My Story
Longest Day Up is a motorbike challenge to travel from Lands End to John O'Groats on the longest day of the year between sunrise and sunset. Bikes must have been bought for no more than £300. I'm drawn back to this again since one of my oldest and best friends Owen Jones died of myeloma last year. He was an absolute star and remained dangerously happy and full of zest for living right to the very end. I can't describe how much I miss him. So onwards again with the 1000 mile torment of hacking from one end to the other of the country on a grimly fiendish charity bike for Cancer Research, that's done so much to save lives and make a positive difference. This isn't a holiday jaunt. Last time it did 4 months of nerve damage and I'm not getting any younger, but it's worth it dagnammit! Thank you for any support you care to give, cheers!
