2027 Great North Run
I'm aiming to raise £750+ for Cancer Research UK through a series of fundraising challenges and events, including the Three Peaks, bake sales and more, before taking on the 2027 Great North Run.

My Story
Cancer affects almost everyone in some way. Throughout my life, I have seen the impact it can have not only on those diagnosed, but also on their families, friends and everyone around them. Cancer has also affected my own family. My mum lost both of her parents to cancer, meaning I never had the opportunity to know my grandparents, and other members of my extended family have also been lost to the disease. At the same time, I have been fortunate to see people close to me survive cancer, showing the difference that effective treatment and continued research can make. That is why I am aiming to raise at least £750 for Cancer Research UK — in memory of those we have lost, in support of those currently affected, and to help fund research that can improve outcomes for people in the future. My fundraising will include the Three Peaks, bake sales and other events throughout the year, building towards the 2027 Great North Run. Every donation, share or bit of support can make a difference. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
