My Story
Every time I do this event I swear I’ll not do it again, because it’s exhausting to the point of damaging, but then someone else I care about dies so it’s absolutely essential to carry on fundraising for this most excellent charity. I’ve lost count of the number of people I know who have dies from cancer, but then again there’s so many who have recovered to lead decent quality lives thanks to the research and treatment that Cancer Research has helped provide. A thousand miles, one day, no motorways and bikes that either are bought for £600 or lie within the spirit of the ride. Mine cost more but was accepted for the challenge because it’s not worked since 2009 and so many parts are rusted or simply old and knocked. Rather like me. Main issue is the wiring - it’s rotten and it’ll be a struggle to get this going to roll off the driveway let alone do the full journey, but I’m bloody minded enough to give it a go & I’m hoping a bunch of y’all would support me. It’s such a great cause and it would be great if we can carry on supporting it. Many many thanks, jamess A challenge in aid of Cancer Research UK, for motorcyclists on cheap and inappropriate motorcycles to ride from Land’s End to John O'Groats in 24hrs on the longest day of the year.
