My Story
Devastatingly, 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. But this is the critical moment for cancer research. Advances in science have put cures within our grasp. Doing the UWCB for Stand up to Cancer last year was one of the best...and worst things I've ever done in my life. And now I'm doing it again. As of the 5th February, I'll be getting up at 5am every Tuesday and Thursday and cycling 7 miles just to have the honour of doing 100 burpees and being punched in the face by large men. The training was gruelling, and the fight even harder, but I'm doing it again because I firmly believe that by raising money for this amazing cause we will see the day when all cancers are cured. And also because I know you all won't be able to resist see me getting sparked out on 1st November.... It's personal too - every moment of training, every bead of sweet and drop of blood I shed was for my Grandad who died this time last year from cancer. Not only for him but for the untold number of people out there battling through this bastard of a disease. Dig deep, help out....and come watch me get beaten up.
