My Story

Thanks for stopping by. This March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer sooner. You may or not know that 3 years ago my gorgeous Mum went through gruelling chemotherapy to treat Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Mum got through the chemotherapy and the following two years of maintenance treatment and the Large Diffuse B Cell Lymphoma that she had is now in remission. Which is fabulous, of course. But you see, Mum still has Follicular Lymphoma. That will never go away. It could progress again at any given time and we could be back where we were three years ago. There is no cure. Yet. So, now you see. This is why I have to do this. This is why we have to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research because there HAS to be a cure out there. They just haven't found it. Yet. You can feel pretty helpless being a relative of someone with Cancer. You can say and do all of the right things but somehow it never really feels enough. So, when things come up like this, I am all for having a go and trying to raise as much money as possible. Three years ago we ran the Race For Life and raised an amazing amount of money. We ran it for Mum. This year, every step I take out of the 10,000 a day challenge will be for my Mum. 10,000 steps a day isn't much for some - in fact a lot of people do this daily.
