Cancer is happening right now and every day is claiming more and more victims, devastating the lives of those affected as well as those they hold most dear. I am taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money, save lives and spread awareness. I am running (and walking) every step of this challenge in loving memory of our close family friend, and loving father of 5 Darryl (Daz), who lost his heroic battle earlier this year after 18 months of fighting against all odds. Also my dear Nan Pat, who after a long period of fighting and suffering succumbed in the December of 2015. Finally, anyone else, known to me or complete stranger who have felt cancers cold hand and it’s impact in your life. You are all loved, and dearly missed, you will never be forgotten. Xx

Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
