I'm taking part in Race for Life to help beat this disease which robs so many of so much.

In memory of

As you are all aware my darling grandma lost her battle with ovarian cancer last year which absolutely devastated us all.

This is my way of keeping my nan close to my heart, she was with me the first time I completed this run, waiting at the finish line and that memory stays with me every year when I cross the finish line ?

Thankfully cancer doesn't always win. My best friend was diagnosed with a sarcoma many years ago, I still remember her brother calling me and breaking the news and I was devastated. The whole way through her treatment she always made the most inappropriate jokes and comments and somehow this always made us laugh, even in times of uncertainty. Now all these years later, she is the one helping me find my health and fitness again.
Massive inspiration as always Meems and when you see me gasping towards the finish line I know I can count on you to shout something very inappropriate to keep me moving!!!
