I'm fundraising to raise money for Cancer Research UK

Hey Family and Friends,
You all know that we have lost dear friends and family members to cancer.
However, the good news is that because of donations and research, more cancers
are treatable and more people are surviving this awful disease.

Last year you helped me raise a record amount when I did the Race for Life 2020,
(remember the tutu and wings? Minnie certainly does!). This March I'm shaking off the
winter/lockdown blues by walking 10,000 steps a day to WALK ALL OVER CANCER.

I'm not the most active person, so I was reluctant to go public too soon in case I fizzled out,
however, 1 week in and I've already done 78,000 steps and nearly 50 km. It couldn't be easier to donate a little something to the cause.
No big gestures required, I'd love it if 50 people gave the price of a coffee and cake, (Oxford price obvs),
then if I hit my target, I won't make Minnie wear the fairy wings this time. Honest.

Good evening everyone. Some of you already know that my 10,000 stepping has had a rough few days due to a broken big toe and possibly some other damage to the top of my left foot. (Short version - dog wees on rug, rug is washed, water drips on floor, I slip over on water - ergo the dog sabotaged me to get a couple of rest days). Anyway, I'm back on it with a slight limp. I was going to put up a picture of my poor toe, but you might be eating. Anyway, I'm motivated and determined to complete the last week of the challenge and make up for the lost steps. I've just received a cheque in the post made payable to Cancer Research UK, from my lovely in-laws, which is a reminder that there are many ways to donate as well as clicking on the donate button. I look forward to posting next week as we get near to the end. Best wishes, Jac

Hi there dear friends. Minnie and I have reached the halfway point of our WAOC challenge, and apart from some sore knees and paws we are on track to complete 10,000 steps a day and raise some much needed money for CRUK. I’m keeping a tally of steps and distance covered each day. If anyone would like to pay a small donation and guess how many steps I will take in 31 days then I will offer a prize for the nearest guess. Bit o’fun eh? Seriously though, every penny helps and I appreciate any support. Lots of love, I’ll update next week....keeeeep guessing! P.S. in this photo Minnie is training by Walking All Over Molly. LOL

Pancreatic cancer

Survival rates for pancreatic cancer remain stubbornly low in the UK, often because the disease is diagnosed late and is difficult to treat. Help Cancer Research UK make progress in one of the biggest research challenges its scientists are facing – to find better ways to detect and treat the disease.
