Jack's Race for Life

Hello everyone, Thanks so much for taking the time to view this page and to read this message. I really appreciate it. As you may or may not be aware, my mum (Tracey) is for the second time in her life in a battle with cancer. For those of you who don’t know my mum, she’s the kindest, most loving, caring, thoughtful person you could hope to meet. There are too many positive adjectives! She would do anything for anyone, and never expects anything in return. Before the photo above was taken, I’d gone to pick a whole bunch of daffodils for her, but she stopped me saying: “they’re for everyone to enjoy”. I can’t describe selflessness better than that. She’s the best mum anyone could ever ask for, she’s my hero and I love her. She’s shown she's brave enough and strong enough to beat cancer once before, but sadly now she must do it again. So my sister (Bonnie) and I come to you looking for a donation, no matter how big or small, to help fund incredible work and life-saving research that will make cancer a thing of the past. Any amount that you can spare will be so gratefully received and will go towards ensuring millions of people who are diagnosed with this illness will come through it, just as my mum has before and will do again. ____________________________________________________ In return, we both promise to take on the Race for Life. Now, to look at me you’d probably never believe it, but I am actually not the fit and athletic young lad I appear to be. I don’t run. It hurts, I feel sick, I have a headache for days after - I don’t like it. To be honest I don’t even get why people do it. Between you and me, there are people out there doing this for fun you know. I’ve seen them. Basically what I’m getting at is this is going to be a struggle. So as I’ve mentioned, please donate as much as you can - no matter how big or small, but please also make sure to consider the pain I am going to go through completing this 10k, and how much you’d pay to see that.
