My Story

Thank you for visiting my Cancer Research UK Cycle 200 page. This September, before the end of the month, I will complete 200 miles on my bike for Cancer Research UK. I will be pedaling harder than ever because I want to raise money for life-saving research and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Every penny makes a huge difference to vital cancer research so please show your support with a donation to my page. This year I am cycling in remembrance of Graham Rennie, who was the church warden at St. Mary's in Wirksworth. Sadly Graham died of cancer two years ago. His widow, Rosie, and I met recently in church and nearly fell out over a stray dog. My family know the Rennies as my step-father, who also died of cancer and who I completed Cycle 200 2019 in remembrance of, used to read with Ruth, Graham's mum, which brought our two families together. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour.
