My Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. In 2012, my Dad was diagnosed with Liver disease. After doctors decided that he would need a liver transplant, they proceeded with tests and that's when they found cancer. The liver needed replacing as it was slowing dying, but because of where the cancer was located, this was unable to happen. My dad was then diagnosed with Liver Cancer and was told that this cancer was terminal. My mum, who is the strongest woman alive, took my dad to Birmingham Hospital every Friday where he was hooked up to chemotherapy as he was advised that this could slow the growth of the cancer which could give him up to 5 years of life. Sadly the treatment didn't work for my dad. This cancer was and unusual kind and unfortunately we lost my Dad within a few months after the chemo was stopped. I was lucky enough to have 13 years with the most incredible man I have ever met. As many people may already know, when my dad was dying he still took part in fundraising towards cancer support systems which is why this March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer sooner. Help me Walk All Over Cancer and fund life-saving research by sponsoring me.
