My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer sooner. For those who know me, they know how I feel about this and why I am so much for finding something to banish it once and for all. But for those who don't know me, I am doing this for my dear mother, Margareta (or Margit, if you're saying it in Hungarian) who suffered with cancer and after a few years she, sadly, lost her battle. She was a strong woman, that I will forever love and look up to. She was honest, loving, helpful and always tried to see the best in people, although at times there was not much good to see. She often knew more than she let on, and as she was quite religious, she would always tell me to forgive and forget and encouraged me to be the better person. She taught me some valuable lessons and I often find myself thinking what would she do or advise me to do in different situations. I was only just becoming an adult when she left and so many things I didn't know, understand or take notice of back then are clear now and I wish I could just tell her that. it goes without saying that I miss her and there actually isn't a word to describe how much I miss her. Although it's been 6 years now (will be 7 on the 2nd September) she is in my thoughts every single day! So that's is why this month is dedicated to her, my Mum, for anyone and everyone who is or has been affected in one way or another. Here is to finding a cure and saving the lives that can still be saved. So, go and make a donation, however big or small and help with Cancer Research beat cancer! Help me Walk All Over Cancer and fund life-saving research by sponsoring me.
