My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking on the challenge of Cancer Research UK's Tough 10 to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK. Having finished work and found out from my mum that my dad has cancer this was a real shock. For all my life I’ve heard and read stories about this malicious disease but never in my head I would have ever imagined my dad or anyone close to me go through it how wrong was I... Life gets you unexpectedly and it’s through this blessing we persevere to make sure the test is surpassed. Cancer is a real torment and it has been a disaster for my dad but guess what we’re fighting and he’s still living this is why I’m wanting to make a difference in clinical researches and other patients to make sure support is there when needed, not only support but helping families who need this help. Be there for the illness, not just after death. It's difficult, yes. But showing up only after someone dies is like showing up at the movie theater as the final credits are rolling. You kind of miss the whole point. Please do not go out your way to donate excessively, every pound is appreciated and all proceeds will directly go to Cancer Research and no other affiliates.
