Isla's Great Golf Challenge Fundraising Page

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. My beautiful mother-in-law died of cancer when she was just 54 years old - incredibly young and devastating for all of the family. On 16 May 2019, it'll be 20 years since we lost her. This year I am the same age as Midge. I think about her a lot - now, more than ever, as being the same age has really driven home how young she was. So, I wanted to push myself and undertake a challenge(s) to raise as much money as I can to kick cancer into touch and find a cure. I am incredibly lucky - I am here. I am fit and healthy. I am enjoying life. I haven't had to face the pain and suffering Midge did. So, undertaking the Great Golf Challenge (72 holes in one day on 20 August) and running a 10k (9 September) is small measure in comparison. I have nothing to complain about - no words - just action. I will be supported in undertaking the Great Golf Challenge by my wonderful husband Oliver and two great golfing buddies, Susan Rennie and Jen Dick. I will be supported in the Stirling 10k by another great golfing buddy, Morag Wardrop. All of these people are also giving their time, energy and strength to raise as much money as we can for Cancer Research UK.
