My Story
Cancer took Becky away from us way too fast. I keep thinking how this can be avoided for other families, and being a researcher myself I looked up cancer research and how to help. What better way than use the activity that has helped my husband and I cope? I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and help save lives. I'm doing this in honour of my wonderful mother-in-law Becky. This crazy-wonderful-unpredictable woman would have been waiting for me at the finish line, cheering, making friends and petting every dog in sight. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
