My Story
My mum had suffered from cancer in one form or another since she was 42,which started as breast cancer and had to go on to have a double mastectomy, she then got bone cancer which she was then told she had 6 months to live. My mum had started to give up when a friend of hers took her to a church and a member stood up and said he felt if my mum was prayed for that night she would be healed, my mum wasn't a Christian at this point but she did go out for prayer. When she next went for a scan at the hospital there wasn't any sign of the cancer or the broken rib which had broken when she coughed because of the cancer. the doctors said there was no other explanation for it but a miracle. I wanted to share this with you as my mum understandably went on to have a very strong faith. My mum went on to have quite a few years healthy and cancer free but unfortunately the cancer returned in a different place. My mum lost her battle on 4th June 2015,but she never lost her faith. My sister and I are at high risk because of our family history and as a result we have to have regular mammograms. Everybody's life has been touched by cancer in one way or another. I race for life because cancer research do brilliant work and are coming up with breakthroughs all the time. I pray for a day when their will be a cure for all cancers but until then will be grateful for any new breakthrough. Please sponsor this cause if you can,however small. Thank you xx
